How to Become a Ranger

    Metro Parks hires Rangers for the following positions:

Qualifications 

  Full Time Ranger

  • Commissioned Police Officer
  • Successfully complete the Ohio Basic Officer  Certification
  • Successfully complete a background investigation.
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Valid Ohio Drivers license with a good driving
     record.

Part-Time Ranger

  • Non-Commissioned Police Officer
  • Year-round employment up to 32 hours a week.
  • Successfully complete a background investigation.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Valid Ohio Drivers license with a good driving record.
