Several picnic tables are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The Lookout Loop will take you around 3 acres of prairie, which will bloom from May through October. The prairie features beautiful prairie grasses growing more than 4 feet high, including little bluestem, side-oats grams, nodding wild rye, Virginia wild rye, and prairie dropseed. The mix of grasses and wildflowers has been selected to thrive in drier upland areas. Glorious color will be provided by wildflowers such as partridge pea, purple coneflowers, yellow and grey-headed coneflowers, lanceleaf coreopsis, Illinois bundleflower, ox-eye sunflower, black-eyed Susan, wild bergamot, various milkweed species, blue false indigo, sky blue aster and stiff goldenrod.
