Metro Parks receives most of its revenue from the generosity of Franklin County residents through their support of our tax levy. State funding, grants, user fees and donations also make up critical parts of our funding. Importantly, Metro Parks carries no debt, but rather earns interest on its bank deposits, which aids the core mission of maintaining and expanding high quality parks and programs.
Metro Parks works hard to provide clean and safe parks, as well as a variety of programs and activities for all park visitors. Our staff of rangers and other personnel are in the parks every day, providing for wonderful outdoor experiences at a low cost. Metro Parks also looks for expansion opportunities for an ever-growing number of visitors. Metro Parks also plays a key role in providing essential habitat for many species of wildlife, while protecting the environment.
