Metro Parks' weeklong Nature Adventure Camps are the highlight of the summer for many kids from preschoolers through 9th Grade. There are still openings at a number of camps. Click Open Camps for details and to register.

Greenswell schedule of events in Metro Parks

Teacher Workshops
Metro Parks is offering four two-day workshops this summer: Digesting It All: Farms, Food and Community (June 18-19), Getting the Dirt on Rocks, Minerals and Soil (June 21-22), Physical Education in an Outdoor Setting (July 18-19) and Bridging the Gap: Classroom to Field Trip (July 31-Aug 1).

Metro Five-0: Writing about the Natural World
Friday June 1 (Advance registration only)
Join poet Terry Hermsen at Highbanks Metro Park and expand your awareness of the natural world through poetry and journaling. Journaling materials provided, with some outdoor activities.

Age 50 and older. Registration #22244

Scioto Audubon Metro Park
Starting Friday March 9, the climbing wall will be open from 9am to midnight on the second Friday of every month through October. Make a note of the dates: March 9, April 13, May 11, June 8, July 13, Aug 10, Sept 14, Oct 12. On these same dates, the dog park will also be open till midnight, and visitors can also enjoy late-night fishing from the dock on the Scioto River.
 

Metro Parks Pet Trails
Let your dog enjoy nature with you on a walk along one of Metro Parks' pet trails.

Thirteen of the 17 Metro Parks have at least one pet trail, with more than 50 miles of pet trails in all.
