Water bugs:
Pack and picnic and enjoy a meal by the water at Prairie Oaks Metro Park. Afterward, test your balance at a Metro Parks Outdoor Adventure stand-up paddleboard (SUP) program in the park. Whether you are a complete beginner or an expert we’ll set you up with all of the equipment you need.

Anglers:
From small ponds and large lakes to flowing creeks and rivers, there is no shortage of fishing opportunities within your Metro Parks. Catch bluegill, crappie, bass and catfish as well as many other species of fish. If you are looking to try something new or just refresh your skills, look for our fly fishing programs. We’ll teach you the basics so you feel confident to go out on your own. If you don’t have your own equipment, check out our family fishing programs where we supply everything you need.

Adventure seekers:
The mountain bike trail at Chestnut Ridge Metro Park is the perfect spot for anyone who gets their adrenaline rush flying through the sky on two wheels. Challenge yourself on steep climbs and descents through the woods as you tackle obstacles on the 4- and 5- mile trails. If you prefer scaling new heights, try the climbing wall at Scioto Audubon Metro Park. The wall is free to use and open during park hours. If you don’t have your own equipment, attend one of our Learn the Ropes programs. We provide the gear and a belayer to assist you with the route.

You can plan the perfect staycation in your Metro Parks. We’ll cya out there!
